Pelling Sightseeing: A Two-Day Plan

How to see the best of Pelling and West Sikkim without rushing.

Pelling is the base for exploring West Sikkim. Local sightseeing is usually sold in two parts โ€“ the "upper" circuit around Pelling itself and the "lower" circuit towards Khecheopalri and Yuksom. Here is how we plan it for our guests at Tip Top Guest House Pelling.

Day 1: Around Pelling

Day 2: Khecheopalri, waterfalls and Yuksom

Practical tips

Getting to Pelling

Pelling is about 4โ€“6 hours from Gangtok and a similar time from Darjeeling. Many guests travel from Gangtok via Temi Tea Garden, Ravangla and Namchi, sightseeing on the way โ€“ see our South Sikkim guide.

Let us handle it: we arrange permits, cars with experienced local drivers and rooms at our own hotels, with Gujarati and Jain meals as per your itinerary. Send an enquiry or WhatsApp us.

Frequently asked questions

Two full days covers the main sights. Add a third if you want to visit Tashiding or simply relax with the mountain views.

Is the Pelling Skywalk open all year?

It is generally open year-round in daylight, but may close in bad weather. Check locally on the day.
